The summer is a critical out-of-school time for kids’ health and as part of the YMCA’s commitment to get more kids moving and learning over the break, the Vic Coppinger Family YMCA invites families to attend Healthy Kids Day® on Saturday, April 22 from 10 am-1 pm.
“At the Y, we’re committed to offering affordable programs that teach kids the benefits of healthy eating and active play,” said Suzanne Murray, Vic Coppinger Family YMCA Community Executive Director. “Our goal is to improve the overall health and well-being of kids that inspire habits they can continue for years to come.”
The activities at the Vic Coppinger Family YMCA include:
- Kids Wellness Village
- Healthy activities and information
- A mini farmers market
YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day aims to strengthen community and address critical gaps in health and education. The event is free and open to the public.
