In addition, take advantage of learning about sustainability practices while sipping sustainable wines from Sonoma County from 6:45 PM – 7:30 PM. Join the Sonoma County Winegrowers (SCW) for an in depth seminar and tasting, Grape to Glass – A Sensory Exploration of Sustainable Wines, on Sonoma County’s commitment to becoming America’s first 100% sustainable wine region. Hosted by SCW’s President Karissa Kruse and featuring several multi-generational grape growers, you will learn all the steps it takes to become a certified sustainable vineyard and winery and how that improves wine quality in the glass. Taste a selection of sustainable wines from some of Sonoma County’s most prestigious vineyard sites and regions while learning about some of the sustainable practices that went into each wine, including irrigation techniques, cover crops, canopy management, biodiversity, energy efficiency, and much more.
