5K chip-timed run/walk and 1-mile family fun run with proceeds benefitting the Dawson High School Eagle Band and Catalyst Color Guard. Each paid entry receives one free ticket to the City of Pearland’s annual Winterfest – a fun-filled day of winter-themed activities, rides, entertainment and food.  The Dawson Winter Dash features a performance by the Dawson Eagle Band. The 5K race will give awards for overall male and female winners and top three finshers in specified age categories.

Event details and schedule

Packet pick-up will be held on Friday, January 30 at the Pearland Recreation Center from 2-6pm and at the race site January 31 beginning at 7:30am. Race parking is at Turner HS on Bailey Rd., next to the Pearland Rec Center. The 1-mile family fun run will begin at 8:30 and the 5K race at 9am. Strollers are permitted but asked to line up at the back. Pets, rollerblades and scooters are not permitted. The course begins behind Turner High School, winds through the neighborhood and finishes on the stadium track at Turner. After the race, participants cross the street to enjoy all the Winterfest activities.
