The City of Pearland Office of Emergency Management is actively monitoring the inclement weather. The City of Pearland is currently under a Tropical Storm Warning and the Office of Emergency Management has moved to Level 3 – Increased Readiness in response to the inclement weather. We will continue to monitor the disturbance. Please check the local media and the National Weather Service for updates.

Residents who commute to areas of Houston are encouraged to check with Houston Transtar for road closures.

Facility closures
All Parks & Recreations facilities will be closed on Friday, Aug. 25. The affected facilities include:

• Pearland Recreation Center & Natatorium (4141 Bailey, Pearland, Texas 77584)
• Knapp Activity Center (2424 South Park, Pearland, Texas 77581)
• Westside Event Center (2150 Countryplace Parkway, Pearland, Texas 77584)

Trash/Recycling services
At this time, trash/recycling service will occur as usual on Friday, Aug. 25 and pickup for Saturday, Aug. 26 is predicated on weather conditions (wind, flood, etc.).

Residents should sign up to receive emergency alerts at pearlandtx.gov/alerts.
