Over the past week, there has been a marked increase in criminal activity around the Friendswood Kroger shopping center in the 3100 block of FM 528.  There were two motor vehicle burglaries in the Kroger parking lot – one on July 7 and one on July 8. A man who was charged with theft at Kroger two weeks ago, showed up at Kroger and was arrested for criminal trespass. Then, a customer had a cell phone stolen out of a cart while shopping on one of the store aisles. Finally, on Saturday, the cash store in the Kroger shopping center was robbed by an armed gunman.  The Kroger parking lot located at 151 N. Friendswood Drive was the scene of a robbery several weeks ago when a man pushed down a woman and took her purse. Our quiet and unassuming area is being targeted. Be vigilant and be safe!
