Hurricane Preparedness from City of Pearland
Texas weather is unpredictable, but the way you stay informed of it doesn’t have to be. The City of Pearland hurricane preparedness page atpearlandtx.gov/preparedness provides up-to-the-minute news and preparedness tips just in time for hurricane season, which begins June 1 and ends Nov. 30.
“As this Hurricane Season begins, residents can rest assured that their City officials are ready to manage any crisis through our Emergency Operations Plan,” said Pearland Emergency Management Coordinator Roland Garcia.
“City staff consistently prepares to respond to every kind of disaster and we continuously encourage our residents to be ready,” he continued.
Preparedness is the key to protecting Pearland residents and property. By doing so, residents ensure that they will survive if a hurricane threatens the Pearland area. By knowing areas of vulnerability and what actions to take, citizens will be prepared in the event of an emergency.
