More Information about Recycling Center Volunteer Program
Volunteers, (18 years or older), will attend a KPB/Recycling Center orientation session led by a KPB staffer and will sign a volunteer agreement and liability waiver. Volunteers will sign up to work in shifts between the hours of 11:00 am – 2:00 pm Tuesday-Friday. Volunteers will be trained by Recycling Center staff to assist with activities including unloading and counting cars, sorting and bagging batteries, packaging cartridges, separating aluminum, operating the paper shredder, and operating the vertical baler. Safety training will be provided for each activity. Volunteers may chose to work a limited set of activities depending on their abilities.
