City of Pearland continues Flashing Yellow Arrows Program |
The City of Pearland is continuing the installation of left turn signals with flashing yellow arrows. First introduced in 2014, the City is gradually adding new signals to intersections throughout the city.
Flashing yellow arrows replace protected green arrow left turns and help to reduce delay and wait time on major thoroughfares. For more information, visitpearlandtx.gov/FYA.

Report issues using the Connect2Pearland mobile app |
Residents can use the Connect2Pearland mobile application to report select issues in Pearland. The app is available for Apple iOS and Android devices and includes photo sharing and GPS services to attach pictures and coordinates when issues are reported. If you don’t have an Android or Apple device, you can also make a reportonline.

Bring your princess to Daddy Daughter Date Night

The Tom Reid Library expansion project is moving forward |
Construction of the expansion of the Tom Reid Library located on Liberty Drive could begin as early as September 2016. The 7,900-square-foot expansion will create space for a children’s story time room, teen zone, study rooms and additional office/storage space. Final construction documents are expected to be completed by June, which will allow City of Pearland and Brazoria County staff to move into the bid/award phase and then, construction. Construction of JHEC trail is underway

Construction of the first phase of the John Hargrove Environmental Complex (JHEC) trail is expected to be complete in March 2016. The grant-funded project includes a 1.7-mile recreational nature trail, sidewalk connections, trailhead signage and nine additional parking spaces at the Stella Roberts Recycle Center.
Future JHEC site improvements include building a boardwalk overlooking the ponds, paddleboat docks and the Delores Fenwick Nature Center. Log on to pearlandtx.gov for more information.
