Calling all ghosts and goblins! Trick-or-treaters of all ages are invited to the 13th Annual Trick or Treat Trail scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Recreation Center & Natatorium, 4141 Bailey Road. Local businesses and organizations will line the “trail” to hand out candy and goodies. The free event offers safe trick-or-treating, entertainment, games, laser tag and inflatables. Get caught fishin’ at Kid Fish Fest

The City of Pearland has partnered with Bass Pro Shops to host Kid Fish Fest, an outreach program designed to educate and provide hands-on fishing experiences. The event is Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1000 Basspro Drive.
Kids ages 3 to 16, will learn about fishing, conservation and respect for the environment. The pond will be stocked with plenty of fish and poles will be provided while supplies last. Learn more at pearlandparks.com.

Get into gear with Bricks for Kidz

Did you know that the Parks & Recreation Department offers classes for students to experience hands-on engineering fundamentals as they build motorized models with LEGO Bricks? Bricks 4 Kidz introduces children ages 3 to 13, to engineering, architecture and scientific principles while allowing their imagination and creativity to soar. Courses are offered on Mondays at the Westside Event Center located at 2150 Countryplace Parkway, or on Tuesdays at the Recreation Center at 4141 Bailey Road. The Recreation Center and Natatorium located at 4141 Bailey Road, offers membership types for all ages. From the weight room to the Kidz Korner, the indoor track to the yoga room, the modern facility has something for the entire family. Fitness enthusiasts can choose from a variety of group exercise classes, water aerobics, cardio training and more. The facility features a two-court gymnasium, two racquetball courts, an indoor track, warm-up pool and a 50-meter competition pool.

Veterans Day Walk benefits veterans and their families

Join us in honoring those who have served. Back from the battlefield, but for many the battles continue on the inside as the veterans & their families face PTSD, depression and other challenges. The Veterans Day Walk is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Recreation Center & Natatorium located at 4141 Bailey Road.
