Tuesday, June 16 at 7:00pm: Introduction to Skype. Learn how to use Skype to make free internet video calls to friends, family, or colleagues around the world. Come experience how to communicate and collaborate using Skype on a computer or mobile device. Skype is free and available for computers, smartphones, and tablets. You are welcome to bring your own laptop, phone, or tablet to use in the class. Free secure Wi-Fi is available.
Wednesday, June 17 at 6:30pm: Microsoft Excel: Learn basic functions of this financial spreadsheet application.
Thursday, June 18 at 6:20pm: Friendswood Library flicks presents Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade starring Harrison Ford and Sean Connery. Directed by Steven Spielberg in 1989. This film is rated PG-13 and runs 127 minutes.
Monday, June 22 at 7pm: Pele of Polynesia Dance Performance. This exciting show features beautiful island dances, music, authentic costumes, and audience participation! The Polynesian Revue features traditional dances from Tahiti, Samoa, New Zealand, Fiji and, of course, Hawai’i. Pele of Polynesia incorporates traditional and modern dances in shows set to beautiful, fun, tropical music.
Wednesday, June 24 at 7:00pm: Microsoft Word– Learn basic word processing applications including text formatting; cut, copy & paste, using pictures and other basic ribbon functions.
Thursday, June 25 at 10:30am: Genealogy- WorldVitalRecords. Discover the primary record resources available in this free online resource that you can access from home.
Thursday, June 25 at 7pm: Clyde and Chester, The Investigators– Author Chester P. Karrick, Jr. will discuss some of the investigative cases conducted by himself and legendary Houston private eye, Clyde A. Wilson. A book signing will conclude the event.
