Thursday, May 7 at 11:00am: Introduction to Skype. Learn how to use Skype to make free internet video calls to friends, family, or colleagues around the world. Come experience how to communicate and collaborate using Skype on a computer or mobile device. Skype is free and available for computers, smartphones, and tablets. You are welcome to bring your own laptop, phone, or tablet to use in the class. Free secure Wi-Fi is available.
Thursday, May 7 at 6:20pm – Friendswood Library flicks presents Gigi starring Leslie Caron, Louis Jourdan, and Maurice Chevalier. Directed by Vincente Minnelli in 1958. This film is not rated and runs 115 minutes. In 1991, Gigi was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant”.
Thursday, May 14 at 7pm – Friendswood Library off the page poetry series presents featured Gulf Coast Poets Glynn Monroe Irby, Daniel Carrington, and Laura Peña. A brief open mic session will follow featured poetry readings.
Saturday, May 16 at 2pm (Time and Location change) – Genealogy: Researching German Ancestors – This presentation and discussion will focus on reading, writing, and vocabulary. Program presented by Nick Cimino, Professional Genealogist and Bob Wegner, Bay Area Genealogical Society representative. Program will be held at the Friendswood Activity Building located at 416 Morningside Drive, Friendswood, TX
