Thursday, March 5 at 6:20pm: Friendswood Library flicks presents Now, Voyagerstarring Bette Davis and Paul Henreid. Directed by Irving Rapper in 1942. This film is not rated and runs 117 minutes. Selected for preservation in the National Film Registry in 2007.
Tuesday, March 10th at 7pm Book Club. Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein. Book Club meets the 2nd Tuesday each month at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments are provided.

Thursday, March 19 at 2pm: Genealogy Tips & Tricks : finding ancestors. Having trouble finding ancestors even though you know their names and dates, and have information on the places they lived? In this talk you will learn various tips and tricks for searching around the known family information to find these “tricky” ancestors. Program presented by Irene Walters, a librarian from the Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research in Houston.
Saturday, March 21 at 1pm – Genealogy: Researching German Ancestors. A presentation and discussion on different resources available. Program presented by Nick Cimino, Professional Genealogist, and Bob Wegner, Bay Area Genealogical Society representative.
Thursday, March 26 at 7pm – Authors Ted Estess and Sybil Pittman Estess. Ted Estess, University of Houston Honors College Founding Dean, will read from his latest book, Fishing Spirit Lake. Ted Estess tells stories not just about the South or fishing or fatherhood or loss but also about the pattern of a life… stories in which we can find both the confusion of a life and the wisdom to make sense of it, to make it whole. Sybil Pittman Estess, nominated for Poet Laureate of Texas in 2009 and 2015, will read from her new book of poetry, Like That: New and Selected Poems. A book signing will conclude the event.
