County Road 59 expansion complete
|
This County Road 59 Expansion project is part of the City’s Capital Improvement Program and a result of a partnership between the City of Pearland and Brazoria County. The project, which was managed by Brazoria County, aimed to widen County Road 59 between Business Center Drive and Kirby Drive. As part of the expansion, a cross section with a 4-lane concrete curb and gutter roadway with a traffic signal was constructed. The expanded road now provides better, safer access to Kirby Drive and Alvin Independent School District’s new Dr. `Red’ Duke Elementary School and improves the circulation around the Pearland Town Center.
