McDonald’s Offers Free Breakfast for STAAR Test-Takers
For the second year in a row, Greater Houston area McDonald’s is providing free breakfast for students in grades 3-8 on Wed., April 23 in preparation of the STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) Test.
Coupons are not necessary for the free breakfast. Any child who visits a participating McDonald’s restaurant between 6-9 a.m. on April 23 with their parent or guardian will receive their choice of a Sausage Burrito or Egg McMuffin, apple slices, and their choice of 1% low fat milk or Minute Maid Apple Juice Box.
For the first time, teachers are also being extended the free breakfast offer with proof of a valid teacher identification card.
“The McDonald’s Owners Association of Greater Houston is proud to support local communities by offering a wholesome breakfast for students and teachers before their STAAR tests,” said Mary Redmond, McDonald’s Owner/Operator. “We understand the importance of a wholesome breakfast to get anyone through a tough day.”
Approximately 9,000 Houston students received a free breakfast from area McDonald’s in 2013.
