Nominations for the 2014-2015 Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program (TASSP) will officially open on April 15, 2014, and the annual award can be as much as $10,000! Students are encouraged to become members of the Texas Army National Guard, the Texas Air National Guard, the Texas State Guard, the United States Coast Guard, the United States Merchant Marine, or commissioned officers in any branch of the armed services of the United States. The Texas Association of Broadcasters is offering $21,000 in scholarships to students pursuing careers in broadcasting at Texas colleges or universities. Scholarship applications are available online and due April 15, 2014.
