Pine Hollow HOA Annual Meeting Report
Here is a summary of what happened at the Pine Hollow HOA Annual meeting:
Kerri Conner was thanked for her service on the Pine Hollow Board.
KC Scarborough was elected to the Board.
The minutes from the Annual Meeting on May 1, 2013 were approved.
The 2014 budget and 2013 financials were reviewed
Officer James McGuire, head of Pine Hollow Police patrol, was introduced to the group. Officer McGuire works for the Pearland PD and resident can contact him at jmcguire@ci.pearland.tx.us However, if you have an emergency, residents should contact the police using 911 or the police non-emergency number 281-997-4100. Officer McGuire discussed the recent theft from cars in the neighborhood. In all the cases, the cars were unlocked. Officer McGuire encouraged residents to lock their cars and do not leave any valuable in their car. In the recent case of theft from vehicles, the people who may have been involved have been identified. Pine Hollow patrol is patrolling in marked cars, and the times that they patrol vary.
In the last year, the Association finished the third part of the trails and put new landscaping in the park. The remaining trail projects are a couple of years away, until the Association can save enough money to do them. The City of Pearland replaced the park equipment. The Association has implemented a Force Mow program where not only vacant homes are being mowed but also residents who fall behind in their mowing. The charges for force mowing are then applied to the members account to reimburse the HOA.
The vote to amend the Articles of Incorporation with the Boards proposal did not occur because a quorum was not in attendance. Members suggested further changes to the bylaws to restrict who the board could appoint by setting basic Board qualifications.
