Pearland Connect is the communications vehicle that the City of Pearland is using to keep you informed. We do our best to provide you with the information you want and need and we want to hear from you. We welcome your input by email.

See snow in Pearland at City’s annual event

The coolest event in Pearland happens this month. Winterfest, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Pearland Recreation Center and Natatorium from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Join us for a fun-filled day of playing in the snow, rides, wintry activities, eating great food and having family fun!

Once again this year, Winterfest tickets for members of the Recreation Center & Natatorium are free upon request, but all requests must be made in advance. Complimentary tickets must be picked up, in person, at the Pearland Parks & Recreation offices at 4141 Bailey Road prior to the close of business on Jan 23. Follow the link for more information.

Make a report with the Connect2Pearland app

Residents can report issues through the City’s Connect2Pearland app. The Connect2Pearland application is available for Apple iOS and Android devices and provides users the ability to report a variety of issues. The mobile application offers users the following categories of service:

Submit a Report – Offers a listing of a variety of issues that can be reported. Examples include: broken curbs, potholes and dead animals.
My Reports – Allows users to track the progress of their issues until resolved.
News – Provides access to the City’s news stream.
Personal Setting (under the More tab) – Users can enter profile information to be updated when issues are addressed.

Pearland’s mobile application is available for download at cityofpearland.com/c2p, as well as the iTunes App Store and the Android Market.

Join us for our Animal Adoption Center Volunteer Orientation

The City of Pearland Animal Control and Adoption Center is hosting a training for Pet Adoption volunteers. Volunteers are in great demand to assist with off-site adoptions; answering questions about the pets and the adoption process.

The Pet Adoption Orientation will be held at 7 p.m. on Jan. 14, at the Adoption Center located at 2002 Old Alvin Rd, Pearland, TX 77581. If you are 18 years old or older, you are invited to attend the training which will last approximately one hour. We are extremely grateful for any time you can spend to help us find “forever homes” for these pets. Please contact us at 281.652.1970 to reserve your place at our Pet Adoption Orientation.

Visit Pearland’s online discussion forum. This virtual “discussion” will be part of the input used by City leaders to update the City’s Comprehensive Plan.

The City hopes to engage a broader audience by using an online platform that allows residents and others to contribute from their homes and on their own schedules. And with this broader outreach and dialogue comes a broader range of ideas and potential solutions.
