Fireworks are prohibited in all areas normally serviced by the Pearland Fire Department within Brazoria, Harris, and Fort Bend County, including areas south of County Road 59 to Highway 6. Subdivisions in this area include, but are not limited to, Rio Lindo and Savannah Plantation.

The use of prohibited fireworks in these areas is a class C misdemeanor which can carry a fine of up to $2,000 dollars per violation, with each device having the potential of being considered an individual violation. This ban includes possession, as well as the discharge of fireworks. Violation of this ordinance will result in a citation being issued and the confiscation of any prohibited fireworks found.
