Eagles, Oilers advance to regional quarterfinals

Dawson Eagles and Pearland Oilers football teams are fiercely contending for state titles in their divisions. Both teams compete in regional quarterfinals this Saturday, Dec. 7. For game and ticket info, click here.

Pearland ISD is pleased to announce two finalists for Touchdown Club of Houston awards on Dec. 11: Dawson’s Eric Wells (Coach of the Year) and Pearland’s Justin Phillips (Defense Player of the Year).

FFA team advancing to state contest

The Pearland FFA is advancing a team to the state Leadership Development Events contest Dec. 6-7. Agricultural issues teammates beat 13 other teams to win first place in the area round and qualify for state. Read more….

Keeping you in the loop about school closing procedures

Jack Frost is on the loose. What does that mean for schools? If classes are canceled or delayed because of severe weather, parents will be notified by the district’s phone notification system. For delay/closing news, check the district website and Facebook andTwitter pages and listen to local radio/TV stations. Or look for a district text message (sign up here to receive emergency texts.)
