We close out 2013 with a stocking full of fun activities, events and programs for the entire family! “Yule” really enjoy our December edition of the Rec Report, as we present to you a blizzard of enjoyable pursuits to keep you warm on the outside and healthy on the inside. Registration for our Winter/Spring programs begins on December 9, so be sure to preview our latest program guide for complete details! Rocket Holiday Basketball Clinic
The Rockets Holiday Basketball Clinic is a three-day long instructional program for kids ages 6 to 14, designed to improve the basketball skill level of any young basketball player. Your child can come and spend the holiday having fun while improving their basketball skills through drills and competitions. Camp takes place from Thursday, January 2, to Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Pearland Recreation Center & Natatorium. The cost of the camp is $105 per camper, and each participant will receive a tickets to a future Houston Rockets game! Have Breakfast with the Elves!!!
Calling all of Santa’s little helpers! Parents, escort your children to the RCN on Saturday, December 14 from 9 to 11 a.m. to spend breakfast with the elves, participate in crafts and games and enjoy holiday music. The elves will even help your child write a letter to Santa and hand-deliver it when they return to the North Pole! It’s an event your little helper will not want to miss, so register soon! Pearland Parks & Recreation is holding its Third Annual Holiday Toy Drive from now until December 16. For every new unwrapped toy of $10 value or more, donors will receive 3 guest passes and be entered into a drawing to win a 3-month membership. All donations will benefit the Pearland Neighborhood Center. Drop donated toys off at the Recreation Center & Natatorium at the designated drop location, near the kiosk.KIDZ Night Out is back in 2014
Beginning in January, 2014, you can join us on the second Saturday of every month for a night full of games, contests, crafts and high-energy entertainment as Kidz Nite Out returns to the RCN! Kids ages 3 to 11 will have tons of fun meeting up with friends or just hanging out! Each Kidz Nite Out event will provide a different themed experience as our theme changes each month. Dinner will be served to each registrant, so parents can take full advantage of having a night out, too! Ages 6 years and younger will enjoy a night of activities in our famous Kid’z Korner. Winterfest Tickets on Sale Starting December 16th
The coolest event is Pearland is coming in January! The City of Pearland’s signature event, Winterfest, will be held on Saturday, Janaury 25 at the Pearland Recreation Center and Natatorium from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Join us for a fun-filled day of playing in the snow, riding rides, enjoying wintry activities, eating great food and having acres of family fun!
Purchase your tickets in advance and save! Winterfest tickets will go on sale beginning December 16 through January 23 at the Pearland Parks & Recreation offices at 4141 Bailey Road during the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Winterfest pre-sale ticket prices are $8 for ages 3 to 16, $2 for 17 and older. Children ages 2 and under are FREE! For more information about Winterfest, please visit our website.
Once again this year, Winterfest tickets for members of the Recreation Center & Natatorium are FREE upon request, but all requests must be made in advance. Complimentary tickets must be picked up, in person, at the Pearland Parks & Recreation offices at 4141 Bailey Road prior to the close of business on January 23. General admission ticket prices will apply to any ticket sales made on-site at Winterfest.
