The City of Pearland is a participant in the Safe Riders Child Safety Seat Distribution and Education Program which aims to increase use of child safety seats and decrease the number child injuries and fatalities due to motor vehicle crashes. As part of this effort, the city is hosting a child safety seat inspection event on Friday, Oct. 18 from 8:30  to 11:30 a.m. at 3100 Kirby Dr., in Pearland, Texas. Additionally, the Pearland Police Department will be onsite conducting fingerprinting for kids.
