Pearland police have released a photo of a man who’s been breaking into cars using a special device.

The thief was caught by surveillance video getting into a car in the Southern Trails subdivision. Residents say the burglar will even hop a fence to get into a vehicle. They also say he has to be using some type of special device to turn off their alarms before he makes his move because they never go off.

“The car was like half closed and the alarm was disabled and it didn’t go off,” said victim Christine Besa.
