City offers online pet registrations

In an effort to streamline the pet registration process the Animal Control and Adoption Center is now unveiling online pet registrations. All residents who reside in the city limits, must register their pets with the City for an annual fee of $10 if your animal is sterilized and $20 if your animal is not. City Council Meetings now live streamed to the PTV |
City of Pearland officials are excited to announce the debut of live streaming of City Council meetings to the City’s municipal channel – Pearland TV. Offering live streaming of the meetings helps the City increase public awareness, engage the community in the municipal government process and expand dialogue with citizens.In addition to providing live streaming on PTV, the City also offers online live streaming and on-demand video of City Council meetings. The on-demand meetings have jump-to points that are labeled by agenda items so that residents can access specific content they’re interested in watching. Regular City Council meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m.

You’re invited to a Picnic on the Parkway |
The City of Pearland, the Vic Coppinger YMCA, Pearland Parks and Recreation, HEB, Pearland ISD, the Pearland Reporter News and Space Center Systems have teamed up to provide Pearland the ultimate picnic experience. For the very first time, this Labor Day,Picnic on the Parkway will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A portion of Pearland Parkway will be covered with turf and transformed into the best picnic spot in Pearland. Bring your family, friends, and pets and come ready to play, eat, and relax…all in the middle of the street! For more information, click here.

City names new official newspaper |
The City recently named a new official newspaper – the Pearland Journal. This newspaper will publish the City’s public notices including official advertising and notices as required by City, State or Federal regulation. The notices provide important information about public hearings, bid & contract opportunities, city ordinances and resolutions, and many other official notices.
