 This weekend, join us at the African painted dog exhibit for a very special Spotlight on Species, included in your Zoo admission. There will be fun activities, keeper chats, and opportunities to learn all about African painted dogs and our partnership with Painted Dog Conservation in Zimbabwe. |

Get Wild about Water on Friday Night! Zoo Open Friday until 8:30 p.m. August 2nd |
 Cool Nights continues through the month of August, and this Friday we are celebrating Wild About Water! Be sure to bring your swimsuits, because the Kathrine McGovern Water Play Park will be open for extended hours until 7:30 p.m. THIS FRIDAY ONLY. Also enjoy special Meet the Keeper Talks at chimpanzees and the Kipp Aquarium, aquatic-themed games and performances by Tom’s Fun Band and Reverend Butter. All Cool Nights activities begin at 5 p.m. and are included in your Zoo admission. |

 Did you know The Houston Zoo is getting gorillas in 2015!? If you can’t wait that long, come see a life-sized gorilla mom and baby made entirely out of LEGO bricks at Animals Assembled Presented by Fiesta!
