Unfortunately there are many residents in our community who do not have air-conditioning for these hot summer months.  The United Way and Action S have partnered with the Brazoria County Library system to offer a place for these residents to get out of the heat.

From August 1st to September 27th, the Brazoria County Library system will open its doors for those that need relief from the heat. Residents may take advantage of the cooling stations when the heat index is predicted to be 100 degrees or higher on Monday through Saturday from 1pm until library closing time.
