Bay Area Veterans Memorial Dedication Ceremony Invitation
A dedication ceremony for the newly completed Bay Area Veterans Memorial at 1106 2nd Street in Seabrook is scheduled for Saturday, May 25th at 1:00 PM, and the public is invited. All branches of our armed services will be honored. Three Keynote Speakers include Natalie Bomke, Fox 26 Morning News Anchor; Birney “Chick” Havey, World War II Army hero; and Retired Army Major General Jerry Icenhower. Rick Clapp of Bay Area Houston Magazine will MC.
Veterans’ related organizations like “Help our Military Endure” (HOME), “Wounded Warriors Project”, and the “Patriot Guard” will be present. There will also be bagpipes and music by Pee Wee Bowen and Bay Elementary Students. Never to miss a worthwhile cause the Rotary Club of Seabrook will be there, too, with its cooking team to provide free food and refreshments.
Although the City of Seabrook is donating chairs for the event, a large turnout is expected and so it is suggested to bring your lawn chairs if possible. Golf carts will also be available to transport any handicapped individuals.
Please mark your calendars and bring the whole family. It promises to be a moving tribute.
Special thanks to Bruce and Jenny Arunyon for making this possible.
