On May 2, a student on a school bus observed what appeared to be a classmate being abducted while the bus was stopped on Pine Meadow. Several parents were called by their children to come and pick them up while the bus was stopped on Pine Orchard. The police and the Pearland ISD investigated the incident and determined it was a trick being played by an older sibling on a younger one.
