Better Pay Your HOA Dues – HOA attorneys are aggressive
The HOA has hired a new law firm Holt and Young PC. This law firm aggressively pursues past due maintenance assessments by placing a lien/foreclosure against your property. Approximately 25% of all Harris County Civil District Court – HOA Case Filings in 2010 were done by the law firm of Holt and Young, PC.
All residents need to be aware of this because attorney fees can pile up quickly on outstanding dues. These attorney fees can quickly exceed the actual maintenance assessments. If you haven’t paid your dues you need to contact the management company to be put on a payment plan. If you don’t remember if you have paid your dues, again check with the management company. Make sure to pass this on to your neighbors. Many people haven’t paid their dues yet.
