3 Cats Mauled to Death in Pine Hollow Subdivision
Pine Hollow Subdivision residents are reporting that their cats are being killed by an animal. The first cat was killed on Sunday night (6/17) in the area of Pine Chase and Knotty Pine. The animal that killed this particular cat broke through wood boards to gain access to the yard where the cat was.
The other two cats were killed on Pine Orchard early Thursday morning (6/21). The animal that killed these cats was described as possibly a large grey dog or coyote.
Coyotes in this area are not uncommon and they have been known to attack before. There as also been reports about an unidentified large black cat that as been seen in the Rustic Oaks area.
Please keep your cats, dogs and other small animal indoors at night. Also, with school being out, kids are on the green spaces (easements, detention facilities, Mary’s Creek Bypass and etc) throughout the area. Please warn them about these animals in the area and encourage them not to be on the green spaces after dark since this is when these types of animals are most active.
