Harvey Update Sunday 4:00 pm

There is NOT an evacuation order in place for the City of Pearland and given the current road conditions, we do not anticipate issuing an evacuation order. Residents should stay in their homes if they can safely.  Residents who have already evacuated, should stay in their safe location until they receive information from City officials regarding the safety of driving on Pearland roads.
The City has also received a number questions regarding our drinking water. The drinking water in Pearland is safe to drink. The potable water system has not been impacted.
The City of Pearland will enforce a 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew beginning tonight, Aug. 27.
Harvey is still a storm that can produce a lot more rain.  Weather forecasters are predicting several more inches of rain in our area over the next 24 hours.  Pending on the route that Harvey takes some models are predicting another 12 inches – 20 inches in a worse case scenario through Wednesday.  Hopefully Harvey will go away soon.
