The Pearland Fire Department (PFD) slogan is “One City. One Mission. One Department,” for a reason. PFD values collaboration and teamwork in day-to-day operations. Since 2007, PFD has been a combination department utilizing a core of paid firefighters, supplemented by volunteers and part-time employees, staffing three fire stations that are manned 24/7. In addition, three additional stations are staffed by volunteer members. This unique staffing plan brings the department a wealth of complementary capabilities and experience that come from personnel with varying backgrounds. The Department currently serves more than 75-square-miles with a population of more than 130,000. Pearland is ranked as the 2nd fastest growing city in Texas and the Department is equipped to adapt to the challenges that come with growth.
