Industrial Job Fair Scheduled at Brazosport College
ANGLETON – The Economic Development Alliance for Brazoria County is hosting an industrial job fair at Brazosport College’s Corporate Learning Center on Thursday, March 27. The job fair, sponsored by The Dow Chemical Company, will have two sessions onMarch 27 – the first session will be from 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and the second session will be from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
The focus of the job fair will be to fill the many skilled industrial trade jobs that are being generated by the tremendous amount of petrochemical plant construction activity in Brazoria County. “At this time of enormous expansion of the industrial base and resulting growth in employment opportunities, I can think of nothing more valuable than to provide a venue for jobseekers and employers to meet to discuss employment opportunities,” says Robert Worley, President/CEO of The Alliance.
The skilled employees being sought by the companies at the job fair include: pipefitters, millwrights, boilermakers, welders, crane operators, electricians as well as other petrochemical plant occupations.
The companies that will have a booth at the job fair include: The Dow Chemical Company, BASF Corporation, Fluor Corporation, Chevron Phillips Chemical, Phillips 66, TIC Energy & Chemical, Ref-Chem, Freeport Welding & Fabricating, Advanced Radiography Technologies, Marquis Construction Services, ICS, The Infinity Group, Fagioli, Non-Destructive Inspection Corporation, Mammoet, Zachry Industrial and Performance Contractors.
